.Bio.

I am an Illustrator from the Isle of Wight, UK.

I studied Illustration & Print at Plymouth College of Art where I attained a 1st class Honors degree. During this time I found a love for screen-printing and creating large detailed drawings for textile application.

Like most artists, I am influenced by my surroundings, and growing up in the handsome British countryside on the rural cliff-sides & rustic beaches of the Isle of Wight, much of my work features nature & animals. My initial love of portraiture uncovered an ability and desire to get to the root of someone’s personality and try to tell their tale. From here the idea of subtle narratives started to take their place on the canvas.

I have worked in branding, logo design & graphic design for advertisement. I am passionate about design and concept, from detailed photo real drawings to the simplest clean cut logos; it has to look great, feel cohesive and tell the story.

Storey telling is usually at the heart of what I do, and most of the rural feeling images are accompanied by allegorical storytelling and a whimsical twist hidden in realistic & technical drawings.

It would be a dream to Illustrate for fabric prints in the fashion world & wallpaper  or upholstery. I get quite excited about fabrics and papers for the applications of my work. My inspiration comes from many places, I adore Japanese illustrations and the print making processes originally used by the likes of William Morris as well as Victorian botanical illustration.
